Booking Terms and Conditions - VERY IMPORTANT
The following terms and conditions apply to all cookery classes whether the cookery course is booked as a gift or by the participant. Please note that these were updated on 16th February 2010 and the new terms apply to all bookings that are taken after this date.
The full course fee is payable on booking and is non-refundable except under the terms below. Bookings will not be confirmed without a completed booking form with full contact details of participants. Please ensure that food allergies/intolerances are listed.
Course fees and dates are correct at time of publishing. Dates are only changed where minimum numbers for courses are not met and alternatives will always be offered where possible. Once payment has been accepted any price changes will not affect your booking. Where course dates are postponed or cancelled you will be offered a transfer to an alternative course or date. Full refunds are only available to those who booked a specific course and date when purchasing the voucher and do not apply to open vouchers. Full refunds will not be offered where participants have already requested transfers or extended the expiry date on their voucher. The maximum refund in these instances is 50% of the original fee paid.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations that are made within 14 days of the purchase date that are more than 90 days prior to the course date will be refunded in full. Cancellations that are made after 14 days of purchase will be accepted in writing up to 90 days prior to the course date. Participants will be offered the chance to transfer to another course/date or to have 50% of the fee refunded. No refund will be offered for cancellations made within 90 days of the course date however transfers to another course date may be possible only if your place on the original course date is resold at the same price. [These terms are designed to ensure that courses run for those who are able to attend] Every effort will be made to resell your place on the course and to transfer you to a new date however it is recommended that you take out insurance to cover the cost of cancellation
Open Vouchers – if it is decided that the voucher is no longer required and 14 days have passed since purchase then a refund of 50% will be offered vouchers are within their expiry date. If you wish to extend the expiry date of your voucher you must contact us at least 60 days prior to the expiry date and a free extension of 3 months may be offered [at our discretion]. If you need to extend the expiry date further then a charge of £25 will be made for an extension of up to 6 months.
Changes to participant names may be accepted up to 2 weeks prior to the course date by agreement with us only. If participants fail to complete their course no refund or part refund will be given Classes missed through illness or any other cause will not be refunded [It is recommended that insurance is taken out against reasons beyond your control]
All participants must comply with all instructions and safety regulations and rules during their course. We reserve the right to terminate the training of anyone at any time during the course at our absolute discretion Children below the age of 13 years old are not accepted on any classes
We will not be under any liability whatsoever to any participant for loss, injury or damage sustained at our premises whether in respect of any negligent act or omission by us.
Copyright: If you intend to use recipes/parts of our course for your business purposes then you must agree this in advance of your course. By signing up to these terms and conditions [whether you are the purchaser or the receiver of a gift] we will assume that you agree that you will not use our course material in the running of any cookery course of your own. We also assume that you will not publish our recipes on the web for others to use.
