Cooking with Local Speciality Ingredients

Worried about Food Miles? Concerned about nutrition? Want to buy British? Or simply just want to cook something new and exciting?

The Green Cuisine cookery course is all about reducing food miles using locally-sourced, often low-fat ingredients but at the same time trying something new!

This cookery workshop uses as much fresh, regional and local produce as we can find and where ingredients are not available locally they will be British if at all possible!

Derbyshire Mushrooms!

In our surrounding region local producers are offering some unsual and interesting produce such as - bison, ostrich, Derbyshire speciality mushrooms, local cheeses as well as locally grown vegetables.

For this course we aim to take some of these and create an exciting menu that is ideal for cooking for guests around Christmas, Easter or for other special occasions!

A multi-course lunch of all the recipes cooked is included.

One of our guests has sent this feedback..................
I did enjoy the day and will definitely be putting bison on my shopping list. I love the crostinis and bet they would make great starters with friends and I'll have them as party food for my New Years Eve. Hope to see you in the New Year - trying to persuade friends to do an Indian night with me.
