Nottingham Cookery Courses - PORK BUTCHERY

On this pork butchery/planning class we take a whole side of pork, take it apart and look at the different cuts of meat [from a chef's point of view] for roasting, BBQ recipes, smoking/curing etc. There will be no more than 6 attending on the day and each member of the group will get the chance to have some hands on experience with the butcher's saw and knives

We are also considering a second day of sausage making [and other pork products] Please enquire for details if you want to tag this onto the pork butchery day.

This course is suitable for anyone who is considering ordering a whole side of pork and needing help with planning for this [and with organisation for using up the meat afterwards] and also for anyone who wants to be better informed when visiting the butcher.

This course is available by arrangement [4+ people] and takes place on a Wednesday due to the schedule at the farm that will supply our pork. please note that this is a skills course not a cooking course.

Course cost is £150 per person [minimum 4 person booking, includes tuition, lunch and comprehensive information pack to take away] The course starts at 11am and concludes at around 4.30pm
