- These courses are aimed at people who want to learn to cook fresh food properly and learn some chef skills along the way
- All these courses are hands on not demonstration - that means that you cook virtually everything [not all cookery courses are really very hands on so always check properly if this is what you want]
- Small groups [maximum 8 for indoor courses and less on Back To Basics and Days 1 and 2 of Teens courses]
- Everything we use is included - you don't need to bring anything with you except enthusiasm
- Recipes are all rigorously tested and taught by a Cordon Bleu qualified chef with several years' experience of running courses for guests who come back again and again
- Recipe Packs are provided to take away from every course
- Informal, sociable cooking, where people learn
- Dishes eaten during the course [not taken away]
"Courses for Cooks" came about from my interest in simple, fresh, and often unusual cooking that is packed with flavour. Wherever possible [and sensible] I use seasonal ingredients and local suppliers. The menus have been designed so that you can easily transfer the skills that you learn to your cooking at home. This is an opportunity to enhance or transform the way you cook and eat - with minimal effort and maximum style.
These cookery workshops in Nottingham will allow you to rapidly expand your understanding of worldwide cuisine – without massive commitment in terms of your time and money. It’s also a great way to spend a day – having fun in the kitchen with like-minded people.
I offer sociable, informal, hands on cooking classes where people learn. This relaxed cookery school experience is intended to resemble a session ‘cooking with friends’ as we tackle our menu in a large, fully equipped kitchen. I trained at The Manor School of Fine Cuisine and have been running this small cookery school since 2006 [and training people for a lot longer] The courses are planned for maximum learning and I have developed a range of themes to suit everyone. Our Indian and Fish courses in particular are so popular that we have had to produce extra courses with new menus - for those who are returning for a second or third course!

If you want to have a hands on day cooking tasty recipes yourself [with my help of course] in a well-equipped kitchen, then you've come to the right place.
